Jodi Marks at the Solar Decathlon for Plastics Make it Possible

Did you know that plastics can play an important role in making homes more energy efficient? From plastic weather stripping, window film, insulation and foam sealant to renovations like replacing windows and doors — plastics can help to significantly reduce a home’s energy consumption.  The Solar Decathlon, a competition that takes place every two years in Washington D.C., is one of the best showcases for innovations in energy-efficient homes. During the event, 20 college and university teams compete to design, build, and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient solar-powered home. The demonstration sites are open to the public during the event. Plastics Make it PossibleSM was there! Click here to see clips from the 2009 event!
