America Recycles Day, on November 15, is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. Celebrating its 12th year, it has grown to include millions of Americans pledging to increase their recycling habits.
Your plastic products can have a second — or even a third — life, but only if you put them in the recycling bin! Many plastics can be recycled into new products including carpet, clothing, jewelry, art, furniture, electronics and packaging. When we repurpose plastics we reduce the amount of garbage that ends up as litter or waste and help to conserve resources.
